Outlook Express Email setup for BlueberryNetworks.ca

First, it is possible to have several Email accounts, all accessed from your Outlook Express mail program.  We will treat this setup procedure as an addition to your portfolio of Email accounts although it could be the first.

In this example we will assume the user's name is "Granny Smith" and her account name is "applepie"  The quote marks are used in the examples below only to identify the text string.  Do not include the quotation marks in any of your entries.

To add BlueberryNetworks.ca Email to your suite of Email accounts, please do the following;

Start Outlook Express and click on TOOLS
then click on ACCOUNTS.

See the image below and continuing from where you left off, click on the MAIL TAB, then ADD and finally MAIL

At this point the program shifts to an Account Setup Wizard

Welcome to the Internet Connection Wizard...

Enter your name in the "Display name" window.

Your Email address is a combination of your username plus "@blueberrynetworks.ca"

In this example we use

applepie@blueberrynetworks.ca

(Please note that Email addresses are case sensitive.  In this model ApplePie@blueberrynetworks.ca would not work!

In the "Email Server Names" panel enter the following.

In both "Incoming mail POP3" and "Outgoing Mail SMTP" windows,

enter "mail.blueberrynetworks.ca

and click Next.

In the Account name window, enter the username you were given (or chose) followed by your unique password in the field provided.

Click Next.

Note:  When entering your password you will only see small "x's" which mask or replace the letters or numbers used in your password.

BlueberryNetworks does not keep a record of your password.

We can issue a new password of your choosing at any time.

Click Next then Finish and your done...   Almost!

While Outlook Express is still open, click on Tools to Accounts and (single) left click on "mail.blueberrynetworks.ca" and then Properties.

In the Mail Account window name your account.  We used Blueberry Mail as an example.

Click Apply and then OK

Next (left click once to select) on "Blueberry Mail" or what ever you named your account and then click on "Set as Default," and finally Close.

Now your done!
